365 Movie Challenge | 122 | Haunting In Connecticut
All the emotions! It was actually really good, although centred around a teenager it wasn’t your typical teen horror, it was more intricate and emotional, and actually a lot scarier than most thrillers. I think the use of having an already dying protagonist and suffering family attaches the audience to them emotionally and causes you to root for them to keep living unlike a lot of films of the same genre where you root for gory deaths. The whole backstory could have been a bit better but overall it was awesome.
365 Movie Challenge | 121 | Asylum
The title of this film should have been ‘the destruction of a strong and independent women by self-absorbed men and their possessive needs’. But despite being incredibly depressing it was brilliant. Just not one to watch for a feel-good movie.
365 Movie Challenge | 119 |Breakfast On Pluto
Once you put on subtitles to understand the weird voice that Cillian’s putting on its quite interesting, although he does mumble a lot of weird shit. It is a bit long and some times boring and tedious but its a life story so you know, thats kind of expected.
365 Movie Challenge | 118 | The Grudge
I remember being scared when I saw this a few years ago… now I don’t know why. It was shit.
365 Movie Challenge | 117 | California Man
I admit it. Stupid-ass 90’s movies like this are my guilty pleasure. A-fucking-hilarious. Anything with Brendan Fraser is gonna be funny to be honest. And Sean Astin ahhh, even though his character is a total dickhead, but hes a Goonie, so its forgiven, and Short-Round was in it too!
365 Movie Challenge | 116 | Captain America: The First Avenger
Why is Captain America the ‘first avenger’ surely Thor is… seeing as he is a few hundred years old. Plus in the comics Captain America isn’t even one of the initial Avengers, the original Avengers find him in the ice on one of their missions. Just saying.
365 Movie Challenge | 115 | The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy
This film makes no sense. I’ve given up paying attention and have resorted to reading. But the cast is amusing so eh. I like the manic-depressive robot.
365 Movie Challenge | 114 | Twelfth Night
I think Olivia and Viola should have been endgame, so much chemistry. Orsino should have ended up with Sebastian, he was way too comfortable with Cesario bathing him to be straight. No wait, Antonio and Sebastian and Viola and Orinso is good, although maybe Cesario and Orinso should stick… I don’t know, I cannot settle on my OTPs.
365 Movie Challenge | 113 | WALL-E
Either I’m still not sober from last night or this was damn funny. I actually snorted at one point, all the fat people falling down the ship was hilarious. I don’t know why but it was. And the whole romance thing was a cute, these two animated robots have much more chemistry than most couples in Hollywood films.
365 Movie Challenge | 112 | Emma
Emma is such a naive bitch, but not as much of one as Frank. I just can’t comprehend how blind a person can be. They dont’ half make courting and relationships complicated in the Georgian times, if people just upfront said ‘I like you’ instead of dancing around each other then they would manage to actually get married before they were 30.
365 Movie Challenge | 111 | Bedtime Stories
Rubbish.
365 Movie Challenge | 110 | In Hell
This film is so badass. I mean there are some innacuracies when it comes to the russian prison system but I guess it can be overlooked because the whole point is that the prison is corrupt. The fight sequences were good and realistic unlike so many Hollywood movies and the storyline was good and unpredictable. The only thing that annoyed me was that they kept calling Van Damme’s character ’the american’ and saying ‘this isn’t america’… the guy was French, his accent was french, his name was french…. so even if he was legally an american citizen they would have referred to his nationality as French BECAUSE HE’S FUCKING FRENCH.
365 Movie Challenge | 109 | Troy
This film is so dull, I can’t even. It should be awesome to me because I like all the actors, I love history and Greek mythology and action, but the plot is shoddy, the fight sequences are poorly shot, the script is weak and honestly the only appeal is the scantily dressed men and even that lessens in appeal after a while.
365 Movie Challenge | 108 | Four Brothers
Great film but WHY DID YOU HAVE TO KILL OFF MY FAVOURITE BROTHER. I almost cried man. The relationships between the brothers were adorable and the whole history and everything was sweet. It wasn’t as violent as I had expected but thats good, you know they didn’t just use violence for the sake of violence, they used it with cause. The only thing I didn’t get was why they kept joking that Jack was gay when Angel was the ex-hustler.
365 Movie Challenge | 107 | Creep
The protagonist? More like ANTAGONIST. Dis bitch. DIS BITCH. Oh my GOD was she stupid, like screaming at your TV stupid. Like she managed to get two of the men killed, and like fucking hell when you get into the sewage tunnels you don’t fucking turn around and go back to the train tunnels, you find a fucking drain and get the fuck out of that shit, and seriously that fucking dog, you just left it and it still came back for you! Not to mention the amount of opportunities she had to kill the monster or arm herself and didn’t, I mean that surgery had A SHITLOAD OF KNIVES AND YOU DIDN’T TAKE ANY AND YOU WERE TOO MUCH OF A PUSSY TO CHECK IF THE WOMAN WAS ALIVE I MEAN FUCKING HELL ITS YOUR FAULT SHE GOD A KNIFE SHOVED UP HER PUSSY YOU KNOW. So much stupid.
